Gregg M. Edwards is Managing Director of CE Financial Economics, Inc., and has been retained to offer expert opinions and testimony relating to market efficiency, loss causation, and class-wide damages in over two dozen securities class actions in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, as well as expert valuation opinions in matters filed in the Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware and U.S. Tax Court, and in connection with potential acquisitions.
Prior to cofounding CE Financial Economics in 2023, Mr. Edwards was a vice president and in-house testifying expert at Forensic Economics, Inc., an economic consulting firm specializing in providing and supporting expert witness testimony. During his 15 years at Forensic Economics, Mr. Edwards was retained by both plaintiffs and defendants to consult in over 100 disputes involving securities litigation, the valuation of targets in contested mergers, mismanagement of trusts and pension funds, and lost profits resulting from business contract disputes.
In addition to consulting, Mr. Edwards served on the adjunct faculty at Monroe Community College from 2008 to 2019, where he taught courses in finance and mathematics to first and second-year students.
Mr. Edwards holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School, and a BS in Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Edwards is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, The International Business Honor Society, and has been awarded the designation of an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation by the American Society of Appraisers (“ASA®”).
